Raúl Rodriguez has been an artist and graphic designer for over 30 years. He and Rebecca Tachna founded R studio T in 1988 in New York City. Since then, R studio T has provided top-of-the-line design and editorial work to prestigious companies. Raúl was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the U.S. in 1982. Since 2006, he divides his time between California and New York, establishing a branch of R studio T out West.

Sandra Kilpatrick Jordanis a writer and business consultant offering creative solutions in leadership, education and the arts. She has worked with R studio T on a variety of projects, including Musical Tales for Modern Minds and Time For Kids Kids in the Kitchen Cookbook. Key clients have included CASIO America, Sesame Workshop, the International Society for Music Education, the NAMM Foundation, and Girl Scouts of the USA.
Julie Alissi, founder of J8 Media, is a photo and video researcher with over 20 years experience in the publishing industry. This includes 16 years at Weekly Reader, sourcing hard-to-find images of world news, lifestyle, science, wildlife and more. Using traditional and non-traditional professional sources, she finds perfect images that bring our ideas to life. You can find samples of her extreme photo and video research at J8‑media.com.
Tom Koken is a graphic designer and painter. He has worked in publishing for over 25 years, as an illustrator (New York Times, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine) and then as a graphic designer (Macmillan, Checkerboard Press, Sesame Workshop, Asia Society, Chronicle Books). By far his most enjoyable experience has been working with R studio T on various projects. He continues to work on his art in his Brooklyn studio.
Lora Myers is a writer, adult literacy professional, and film producer. She has written multimedia learning materials for adults with low levels of literacy (TV411.org), developed literacy programs for New York City’s largest health care workers’ union and taught ESL in Japan and Brazil. Writing credits include magazine articles, museum exhibits, documentary narrations, and books for adults and children. She has worked with R studio T for more than twelve years.
John Whitley is the image editor for R studio T, contributing to numerous projects including Time for Kids: Kids in the Kitchen Cookbook, Big Book of Where and That’s Strange But True. He’s president of Swanky Lobster Greeting Cards, available at swankylobster.com. Besides being a meticulous artist at Photoshop, he is an accomplished singer and has performed nationwide from jazz clubs and cabarets, to Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
Craig Deutsch is a San Diego-based photographer whose work includes documentary, sports and private events, and children’s books. His passion is street photography and capturing the human expression. Some of his clients include R studio T, San Diego American Flag Football League, San Diego Lyric Opera and numerous local artists.
Linda Falken has spent her entire career in book publishing. She has edited and written books on a variety of subjects, most recently, for R studio T, the The Big Book of Where, part of the best-selling series published by Time For Kids, and The Art of the Handbag (under the pseudonym Clare Anthony) for adults. She lives and works in a town along the Hudson River, north of New York City.
Gabriel Amor was born in Spain but has lived in New York City for most of his life. He has an M.A. in English (University of Chicago) and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing in Spanish (N.Y.U.). A published writer and translator in Spanish and English, he has collaborated with award-winning Latin American and U.S. authors. Gabriel’s first collection of bilingual poetry was published in April of 2015 by Editorial Trance and ENYE Editorial (New York).
Fred Cavagnuolo is the legal consultant at R studio T. He is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Political Science and a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. After working for a NYC firm specializing in professional liability, Fred then became an in-house counsel for Marsh & McLennan Companies, a Fortune 500 company, where he negotiated and drafted software licenses and various corporate contracts. He lives and works in Miami.
Audrey Whitley answers all the queries R studio T has about sports. She has over 30 years of broadcast experience, primarily in live sports television as a technician and Associate Director. She has covered professional, college, and amateur events throughout the U.S. and abroad, including Olympic Games and World Championships. Her interest in sports was inspired by her husband, Dave, a lifelong sports participant and fan.
Cabiria is Raúl’s muse and daytime companion. She is a 4-year-old Calico. Like Raúl, she divides her time between California and New York City. Her favorite treats are Alberta Wild Boar (Orijen). She is fluent in English and Spanish.
